Fire Equipment Services (the commercial division of Fire Rescue Victoria) continues to experience IT issues following a cyber attack that impacted FRV systems by an external third party. A number of our systems, including access to phones and emails have now been restored.

As announced on 11 January 2023, FRV has received confirmation that the criminals who attacked our IT systems on 15 December 2022 have shared FRV information on the ‘dark web’. Throughout this incident, community safety has not been compromised.

FRV is continuing to take steps to recover our systems and we thank our employees and partners for their ongoing understanding and support.
